Privacy Policy
Effective date: 07/26/2026
Spotted Ridge Foundation ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, phone number, and any message you choose to share. If you contact us by email or phone, we receive whatever information you include.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider and any analytics tools we use may record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. We may use a service like Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site.
This website is intended for adults — parents and guardians, donors, and supporters. We do not ask children to provide personal information through this site. (See "Children's privacy" below.)
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, to communicate with you about the Foundation and its programs and events, to acknowledge donations, to operate and improve the website, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
The site may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
How we share information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Foundation and this website, including with service providers who host the site, deliver email, or provide analytics on our behalf, and with authorities or others when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Foundation, our participants, or others. If you make a donation through a third-party processor, your payment information is handled by that processor under its own privacy policy. We do not sell personal information.
Children's privacy
Protecting children is central to our mission, and we take special care with their information. This website is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Information about the children who participate in our programs is provided by their parents or legal guardians through separate enrollment and consent processes, not collected through this public website, and is treated as confidential. Any health-related or other sensitive information connected to program participation is collected only with guardian consent and shared only as necessary to run the program safely. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through this website, please contact us at info@spottedridgefoundation.org and we will delete it.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law, then delete or anonymize it. Contact-form submissions are retained for 24 months unless a longer period is needed to respond to your request or meet a legal obligation.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may request that we access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@spottedridgefoundation.org. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. You can also opt out of non-essential cookies and analytics as described above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date above.
