Our Story
Spotted Ridge Foundation was born from a simple idea: that every child deserves to experience the magic of the outdoors, especially those whose lives have been turned upside down by cancer.
What started as a single invitation to bring a sick child to the ranch has grown into a foundation dedicated to making these experiences happen year after year. The ranch, nestled in the heart of Oklahoma, provides the perfect backdrop for kids to explore, play, and just be kids.
Our founders saw firsthand the transformation that happens when a child steps away from hospital walls and into open fields. The sparkle returns to their eyes, their laughter fills the air, and for a moment, cancer takes a back seat to pure, unbridled joy.

When I was in high school, I worked at the Cross Point Church Camp at Lake Texoma. One group that came through each year were kids going through cancer treatment. I loved working with those kids and seeing their spirit stay alive, even in the middle of everything they were facing.
When I was 29, I went through a life-changing event that gave me a different perspective on life. Since then, I've wanted to give back to those who need a brighter side of life to look toward.
In 2023, we were able to take a young man out to shoot skeet and enjoy the outdoors. In 2024, we took two families to our ranch to hunt deer. That year set the tone for what I believe is our way of giving back while getting to enjoy what I love most about the outdoors — the hunting.
I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, and meeting new people. Providing a place for children to be a part of that — and maybe escape from what has become their normal — is a blessing for us. A place for children to still be children.

Our board of directors brings together passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal: improving the lives of children battling cancer through the joy of nature and outdoor adventure.
